I feel awful when the thought flashes through
that you might not come. But they send you
all don't they.
I am reading an excellent book by Gilbert
Parker called "The Seats of the Mighty." It deals
with relations between the French and English before
and after the taking of Quebec. The characters
are well drawn. Tim has just jumped up on
to my knee and is endeavouring to catch a fly so
it is taking me all my time to write this. He is
a little tar. Dash will nearly go mad when he
sees you. I had him this afternoon on the
Spa and if he did not leave me and on his
own went trolling on the fount sniffing at every
one until he found your mother. The first I
knew about it was seeing Julia carrying
him back in her arms.
Well this is a short letter but it is
one of those days when nothing happens.
I am rejoicing every day to think it means
a day nearer re-union. Comrade of my heart
See? Come back soon laddie.
With all my love + an inside
outside a - t.
Your loving wife
