we were all amused though when Catlin
himself sang a song entitled "There's all
kinds of girls at the sea-side," because in
it he said and "then comes Mary Green
from Ripon. We nearly fell off our seats.
We came out early however and they
took me as far as the Spa bridge and
I went to meet the others of your family.
Your mother informed me that she had
missed me. So of course as Mrs Boddy
is going away on Tuesday I shall not
go on any more jaunts.
I have also to tell you from your
mother that people will soon begin to
ask questions with regard to my figure
(ahem!) It's your fault. M.G. I'll shake
you well when you come home.
I forgot. Who do you think was at
the Pierrolsin the front row, painted up
to the eyes? Dot Holden!! And she
went behind at the interval. Perhaps she
is wife to a few of the pierrols. Evelyn
has just come in with the information
that that Miss Lamgstaff's (of the skating rink)
child lawful father is Jacky Holt. He
is married. I think it is a shame for men
