Mosey was married that day. He has a
son and heir who rejoices in the gorgeous
name of Cecil James -- -- Bastion
Mosey. The two dashes are for Christian
names which he possesses but which
she had forgotten. Winnie Case it seems
has been playing a twisty game. Annie
said some person informed her that
Winnie was engaged. So she went
to congratulate her and said "I suppose
Jo (a Scarboro man) is the lucky one."
She was most astonished when Winnie
replied 'no I am engaged to a Scotch
Officer. Some men won't half get an
eye opener when they arrive home
after the war and see their wives
in normal state and not through rosy
coloured spectacles.
We went onto Rowntree's Cafe and
met Amy Suggitts and all had tea
together. Then they suggested going to Catlins
well it was awful. Tommy rot from
beginning to end. We sat; the three of us,
with solid faces and came to the
conclusion that men of a certain class
are more easily amused than women
