wounded or sick. They get sent

down here for a rest - + do the

bull ring nearly every day, with

a good chance of being sent back

on another draft in a day or two!

Many of our men are being sent

to other battalions eg. the 5th 6th

7th etc. ...There is a sentence that has been scratched out

L. + I went up to

our old place the Auzac's Y.M.C.A.

for a little supper last night

It is much better than any place

where we are wors, better food etc

+ cheaper slightly. Also there is

always some music etc. We

haven't heard a word from

Pelir or Lurse or any of those we

left behind, altho' several letters

have been sent them. We can't

understand why in the least

this is so. Many 2nd line
