Wednesday.

September 6th 1916

My Dear Laddie.

This is my second letter to you

today, though the first was really Tuesday's

news. Your mother had a letter from Norrie

today. He has been made assistant

transport officer, so that will mean he will

be more out of the trenches won't it. He wants

some spurs sending at once. - always the same

Norrie's letters always cause a laugh because

they say without fail 'Send me such & such

an article at once." So with you in hospital

and Norrie in a less dangerous position your

mother thinks she is fortunate. This morning

of course I sat on the Spa and wrote to you.

Mr. Green stayed today and through some

misunderstanding he was waiting on the front

whilst your mother went on to the  Bathing Pool.

Isn't it always the way? And to to coown all

your mother hurried off and I did the shopping
