dote on him. Now if you were my wife I
should not write to you + if you knew where
I was I should tell you to keep clear I
was off with another man's wife - more
sport.
Then he informed when we were alone
that I had kept you straight with always
being with you. I denied it - you were
straight before and I didn't half tell him
off for saying that. As if you didn't
have enough moral courage of your own.
I informed him that your character was
strong whilst his was weak. Poor Frank
he is a real grand boy but he wants
to steady up because I'm sure he was not
telling me fairy tales.
Julia had a letter this morning from
Mary Castles asking if they would
make the quarrel up. Your mother has
given Julia instructions to write and say
that there was no quarrel but as Mary
and Billie were kept out of the garden and
she has found out how nice and quiet it
is without them. It had best remain under
the present conditions. Your mother presumes
that now winter is coming on Mrs Castles
