when we heard the firing. Tell mother
she would have been proud of her little
sonny to see him buckling on his 100
rounds of ammunition + standing to arms
yawning + shivering at 1.30 this morning.
I heard Jock Inglis come galloping in,
in the moonlight about 2 o'clock to report
that he had heard the firing + then away
he went again back to his post at
Hook's Dam, about 7 miles down the
coast. If you want to send letters to me
I think you can send them direct here, but
if you want to send a parcel or anything
it wants to be sent to Beverley first in case
we are moved. My address here is

yet but I am going out tonight for the
