My dear Muriel,
Just the promised
card! It is one of my
favorite pictures. I have
been busy to day so far (it
is now 12 noon) + have had
one bit of good news - will tell
you to night. Just had an
interruption: - knock at door -
"Come in" - dirty man in
corduroys enters - "complements
of the season to you, sir" - doubtful
pause on both sides - "Dustman,
sir,-" enlightenment - transfer of
sundry coffers - "thank you, sir,
Happy New Year". Well, Lassie
of mine, I wish I had you
just now - especially when I look on
the other side. I won't say more -
you understand, don't you? until
4.30 p.m., All my love,
Your,
Stanley.
