paid labor we came to the conclusion
that it would defeat
the object we had really set
out for. That is that this Club
do something towards the
cultivation of the land, thereby,
saving bread and helping our
country on to victory. Knowing
also that we had over sixty
members on military service in
various parts of the Military Zone
at least we expected enough voluntary
help to see us through.
