Dear Mother
Just a few lines hoping you are all
well as it leaves me at present. You
will think i have forgotten you all
together but i have not I listed about
about 8 weeks ago i was at Derby
Barracks to Plymouth and i have been
here 6 weeks. I lived at a place called
Mansfield about 5 miles from the place
were i was working i was working at
a place called Shirebrook at the Gas-
works i have listed for 3 years or the
Duration of the War. We are going
through it pretty stiff here Marching
and Rifle practice. We get plenty
of good grub here
