  The fuze when set full should burn at rest for about

  22 Seconds

  To set the fuze, turn the setting mark on the lower

  ring by the setting key, opposite the graduation

  required.

   
  

  Action

       Time arrangement, on shock of discharge, the

  detonator pellet sets back on the needle, straightening

  the clips of the time stirrup springs firing the detonating

  composition and so igniting the composition of the

  top ring, which in succession lights that in the lower

  ring and so fires the fuze

   
  

  Percussion Arrangement

        On shock of discharge, the ferrule

  set backs over the detonator pellet, straightenings the clips

  of the percussion stirrup spring, the whole is then set

  free to move forward on impact or graze and after

  compressing the spiral spring, the detonator upon striking

  the needle ignites the composition and so fires the magazine

  Weight of Fuze 10 ¼ oz
