In all day. Another route march with the Brgd, & inspection by the Major, & they say there is a War on.
At the foot of the left hand page there follows printed information on the illustration of flags printed atthe foot of the opposite page.
[THEY DISTINGUISH DEPARTMENTS. In a military camp the different departments and stores are indicated by different flags otherwise it would be rather difficult to distinguish one department from another. The sketch on the oppositepage shows some of the flags. The first flag, white and red, is flown over the telegraph office. The second one, red with a blue circle, is flown over the ordnance department; and the third one, blue with a white circle is that of the army supply depot.]

Trepeid 2 kilos from Etaples.
Only ... lorries here & a nice cottage for a billet. Absolutely grand here best I've had since I joined 3rd Car.
Never went out to-day.

In all day. So far haven't been out yet. We touched for an M.I. this morning. Cliff has to go again.
At the foot of the right hand page of the diary is a printed illustration of 3 flags referred to by the printed information at the foot of the facing left hand page.
