In the field | 1.8.17 | After the push of July 31, the company reconstructed the line from YPRES to BOESINGHE, and also began the
repair of the ROULERS and COMINES lines.
6.8.17 | A second Hospital siding was begun at REMY. on this date, and was ready for traffic on the 8th.
9.8.17 | By this date three lines were ready for traffic through YPRES Station.
12.8.17 | MURAT and RIVOLI Howitzer spurs on the YPRES_BOESINGHE line were begun on the afternoon of the 12th and
completed on the 14th. A second spur (for a gun) at MURAT farm was begun on the 16th.
5.8.17 | Captain W. I. HATCH joined the Company as Second Captain.
17.8.17 | Earthwork for the RAVINE WOOD Howitzer Spurs was begun.
20.8.17 | REIGERSBURG CHATEAU Howitzer spurs were begun, one being completed on the 22nd, the other on the 23rd.
25.8.17 | Howitzer Spur I 13.d was finally completed
During the month maintenance from BRANDHOEK to YPRES and YPRES to BOESINGHE was continued.
A number of other works were also in hand.
Corp BRUSH and Corp BETTRIDGE H. received M.M.s for work on REIGERSBURG CHATEAU spurs and the
R.E. Park of that name respectively.
During the month Capt HATCH and Sgt. GREENING were wounded, while 11 casualties to attached labour
occurred.
