All the time I was at Deal
had hot water fomentations
had good food, & being able
to walk had plenty of liberty
Went down to the beach nearly
every day, we could hear the
guns booming away across
the channel. One day had
a trip down the coast to
Kingsdown & Walmar Castle.
While I was at Deal, I was
sent to Sandwich for a
dental inspection, was
advised to have some teeth
out, but as it was not
compulsory, I refused.
