It wakes me up a little and
makes my head clear. Some
time I think I must get gracy.
But it it only lonesomeness.
During the day I wrote in the
Kriegs - Tagebuch which O. dictated
to me. He made me
waiting some. I only ate
2 Sandwich with jam this
morning and had to write
till 2 o'clock. I was so hungry!
Than in the morning
I went to "buy" some wood.
That is the "first day we got
no smoke in our room.
Because we have Wood coals.
It is a dirty wet weather out
side and I may be glad to
sit in a warm room
In the Tribune I was astonished
by the tone which
is there. They dont balk so
much against Germany. Perhaps
they are astonished
Right page
by that feature, which they
never believed to come true:
"U53", Somebody says that
the ship never crossed the ocean
but the parts were made in
U.S.A. and put together. If
they only knew what else
happens in a giant war as
this.
When I am alone I think so
much about me. What is to
become of me? What shall I
do after the war? I think it is
the best not to make any
planes but let every run as
it likes to.
Now I am all alone No
relations but my father.
Tauwetter 13.
II1.17.I read those lovely books from
Felix Holländer: Frau Ellin Röte,
Ihr letztes Glück, till 2 o'clock in
the morning.
