ROBERT GIBSON

AND SONS (GLASGOW) LTD

BOOKSELLERS

45 QUEEN STREET

GLASGOW

                                     7th Oct., 1918.

Mr. Brown,

            Headmaster,

                     H. G. School,

                              Broxburn.

Dear Sir,

The undernoted is an extract from a letter from my son

Captain T. C. Gibson M. C. Tank Corps: -

On the afternoon of the 28th Sept., on the outskirts

of a place called Flesquires I found the enclosed card. Will you send

it to one of the Broxburn booksellers or better still to the

Schoolmaster, who may be able to trace the mother. If the lad is dead

she might like to have this memento. My son in the course of his

letter states that on this date they were having "as lively a time as

it is possible to have."

I trust you will be able to trace the sender of this

card. It was, you will observe, picked up four days after the Lad's

Birthday.

Yours very truly,

ROBERT GIBSON & SONS (GLAS). LTD.
