We have to-day received information that...your husband.....
267202 Pte. F. Norton is a Prisoner of War at Coy. 23 Sect 6.

We have placed his name on our list, and supplies of food
and clothing will be regularly despatched to him from today in
accordance with the following particulars.
Six Food Parcels (8/ - each) every 4 weeks.
26 lbs. bread from Copenhagen or Berne (7/6) every 4 weeks.
A complete outfit of clothing every six months
The contents of the Food Parcels are varied every week, and
every parcel contains 50 cigarettes. The accompanying slip shows the
contents of the parcel we are sending at once.
No articles of any kind can be received by this Committee
for forwarding to Prisoners of War.
Our work is entirely dependent upon voluntary subscriptions
and we shall threfore be grateful if you can help us with the cost of
the food supplies, but it is not desired that anyone send more than
they can comfortably spare. As our office staff must be kept as small
as possible, we would ask that subscriptions, however small, may be
regular, and paid monthly for preference. Eight shillings, will pay
for one food parcel, and the donon's name and address is written on
the card which is packed inside the food parcel.
Will you please tell me at once the Cap and Boot sizes of
this Prisoner of War, and inform us in future of any change in his
address that he may tell you of.
You may send him a Personal Parcel yourself once every three
months, of which erased a typo mistake particulars are given in the accompany circular.
If friends wish to send extra Tobacco, we can issue Permits
for small quantities to be ordered to go direct from authorised firms,
duty free.
