In the Field | 1.5.17 | The 2nd Army Commander inspected the Clapham Junction Bruloose Line with its
branches, the line having been completed by April 30 the date specified.
5.5.17 | Leaving No. 1 platoon at Clapham Junction to maintain the now completed line,
the headquarters and Nos. 2 and 4 platoons moved by rail to Sheet 28 G.11.B.88
where they were joined by No. 3 platoon.
8.5.17 | Work on alterations to Pacific Sidings and EDWAART HOEK begun
9.5.17 | Work on the construction of WESTONHOEK TRANSHIPPING YARD was begun
11.5.17 | " " " " OFFLOADING PLATFORMS at GODWAERSVELDE was begun.
18.5.17 | Above platforms were completed.
An overland Summer Loco Water Supply was begun, the section from INTERNATIONAL
CORNER to POPERINGHE being undertaken by the 262nd Coy. company RF
1.5.17 to 31.5.17 | Maintenance parties, increasing in size towards the end of the month, were
provided by the company, for work in the area round Ypres. The first casualties
to men of the unit occurred on May 12th. Two men were wounded by
shrapnel on that day near the YPRES ASYLUM.
