were shelled on the march.
We went as far as Ploeystraate.
Dinner @ 12 noon. Slept all afternoon
Wrote letter to Jennie. Stayed
in billets all evening. About
10pm our artillery shelled
Germans position & continued
to do so all night. Went to
bed @ 10-30pm
May 6
The enemy started a serious
bombardment on Armentierres.
Over 100 casualties. Breakfast
@ 8-30 am. C.O & inspection
@ 10 am. Dinner @ 12 noon,
tea @ 4-30 pm.I received 2 letters
& 2 papers, from Jennie & parents
