April 29.
Rose @ 3-15 am. S to A till
4 am. had light breakfast
@ 5 am wrote a letter to JTaylor. Went to bed @ 6 am.
Up @ 8 am. had breakfast.
In charge of digging party
till 10 am. Wrote a letter to
Alfred. Had dinner @ 12 noon.
Marched the sick to hospital.
I have tea @ 5 pm. 6 men hit
with rifle grenade. 3 killed &
3 wounded including 1 officer killed
Went out for 10 boxes of
ammunition. got back @ 10 pm.
On duty from 10-30 to 1 am.
The Germans shell all night. -
