Started at 10.30 a.m. with 8 others to visit Armant about 12 miles up the
Nile. We had a motor launch- it was lovely. Visited orange groves, trees
were laden with lovely fruit. Went on to Armant, went through bazaar. Came
back had lunch on motor boat then went to sugar factory. I was amazed at
the way sugar is made. Quite an enjoyable trip, got back at 5 p.m. Cost
only 6 Piastres including 21 oranges. Received letter from L. dated 20th
Nov. and am posting answer.
