Red 1 penny stamp in upper right corner

 Address, right side:

Miss L. M. Green

14 New Inn Hall St,

Oxford

 Message, left side:

Dear Lily,

It was awfully decent of you

to send me that Xmas card, dear, it

made things seem ever so much more like

Christmas especially as it is the first card

that I have had for over eight years.

I wonder what yo are doing now, dear,

and whether you intend going to the

theatre as you said. The weather up

here so far has been very kind.  Yesterday,

was about the first fine Xmas they have

had for years. Thank heavens the leave

is nearly over laddie.  I have had quite

enough of it. I won't be sorry to get

back to Oxford.  xx Roy.

Printed text in the left margin of the postcard:

Series No. 4433. BRITISH Manufacture

Passed for publication by the Press Bureau, 20/1/1917.
