Dear Lily,
It was awfully decent of you
to send me that Xmas card, dear, it
made things seem ever so much more like
Christmas especially as it is the first card
that I have had for over eight years.
I wonder what yo are doing now, dear,
and whether you intend going to the
theatre as you said. The weather up
here so far has been very kind. Yesterday,
was about the first fine Xmas they have
had for years. Thank heavens the leave
is nearly over laddie. I have had quite
enough of it. I won't be sorry to get
back to Oxford. xx Roy.
