prepared for war. Reg now you have

mentioned this about Ted, I have hoped that

you got his army medals as well as you

are the one to have them especially as your

second name was his & another thing to

Ted thought the world of your Dad so

I hope you have them. Now hear are some of

the things he used to enjoy, he loved reading

good books, also good music in fact I brought

2 music books he gave me out to Canada,

& I still have them & often play some of the

pieces & another hobby of his was photography

he had a lovely camera & I remember he use to

develop his own films in a dark room at home

I can see them now in the little trays, also he

enjoyed playing billiards, always too he seem to have

kind thoughts to others, such as some of the

men in his regment would have weekend passes

& some of there homes would be quite a distance

from London, so if he happened to have a week-

end pass at the same time he would bring one of them

along with him down to Mum's & Dad's

rather than they sit around in London, of

course they were nice fellows he would bring

as to get into the Grenadiers Gaurd those

days you had to have a good background.

It use to be nice Reg to see your Dad, Ted,

& Uncle Tom always go to church together on
