  Dear Father

       Just a line to let you no I had a letter

  from Tommy he going on alright he say they

  got to France on Sunday last he seem cheerful

  enough I expect he will be sending you one

  if you have not already got one I dont no

  when we are coming on pass we expect leaving

  Halton Camp about a week today to go to

  Whitley they say we shall be going out in about

  three week or a month not be sorry to go We

  have finish our fering bar a few chaps A

  orders as come out now that every man in

  the battalion as to leave bomb throwing for

  there is more bomb throwing than any These

  now If I I had know we were not coming home this

  next week I should have in a pan for the holiday

  We have a revue Monday we got three roses apiece 

  to past on with it ferry Monday day I will close

  now with best love to all
