THE MARTIAN

Hommes - 36-40

Chevaux - 8

Vol. 1 - No. 23   SUNDAY, January 26, 1919   Price: 30 centimes

----

Drawing of monuments of Paris clustered together into one image, with crowds of people filling the street.

"SO THIS IS PARIS"

----

Biff! Bang!! Crash!!!

"Hey! All out for Paris!

Pull in your neck, -

That taxi can't scare us!

Who's runnin' this trip?

Say! Just follow me

You won't have no trouble

With our friend the M.P.!

What's that? You're a guide?

Then don't show us no towers

We're seein' this burg

In forty eight hours!

Cut out the hotel

We can sleep in the park

Put her in high!

Hurrah for Jean D'Arc

What's that old top?

Nix! Cut out the trolley

We're ridin' in taxis.

And off for the 'Follie

What's that? Sure!

We've heard of the Seine.

There goes the Mademoiselle

We saw on the train!

What wouldn't I give,

For my gal to surprise her

Than a photo of me

On the "Shamps de Elizer"!

The "Place de la Concorde" -

Say! Lay off your cape!

That's no name for a place

It's the name of a "grape"!

No Op-pree for us!

There's Mickey the kid

A beatin' it down the "Rue de Madrid"!

Do we have to get out

And walk in the street?

Say! Cut Napoleon's Tomb

We want something to eat!

Now that we've ate

And had our vacation

Let's meander along

Down town to the station,

I've seen all I want

Am four hundred shy

But Gee it was great!

See Paris and die!
