Dear father
Arrived at Worlwik 6-40 pm. To go through trade list there.
were 50 of us set off from Leeds to York. +20 Lucky one have landed
here. We do not know when we will get away from here they seem
to be going about there work in a very slack set-up way. Some that
came down with us have been at York since Saturday. The Beds
+ the food you get down here are bad to say we are Changey some
there fellows are not bad ones. They come from all round + square
no numbers nor address on the stamp

I am still at the same place + in the pink + looking
well after the cookhouse for the meals. I went down from my hade
rest this afternoon at 2 pm it was quiet a change to get to work
again after standing about waiting till you here your name
called. I had nearly finished at 4/15 + the tester asked me
how long I would be. I told him a 1/4 hour. So he said you can
finish it + I will pass it as fair or come at 8 am to do it. So
I told him I would come in the morning as I want good not
like all the other which as far as I can make out is fair.
When I hear I have passed I have to go before the Board of
Trade to be posted expect I shall be moving on Fri or Saturday
The place they list you in is a good says about 20 fres You
have to burn dust the test is something like the sketch.
