Somewhere in France
Dear Little Ena,
I am writing straight away so that you
will be able to have your letter as soon as the
other and I am sending your teacher a letter
in answer to hers. I am still cooking for the
boys so you all have no need to worry about me.
You must thank your teacher for me for
enquiring about me. It is very good of her
I must say, to give you wool for some socks
but as you say I hope the war is over before
you finish the other one. My word it would
be grand if peace was declared, so that I could
come home to you all, but lets hope it will
soon come. You must excuse such a short note
as I have to get out of the place now, and
go to the billet, but I will write you more
next time.

Brother
