Athens - Get on your Marks and Transcribe!

Transcribathon is coming to Greece for the transcription marathon of a century.

Hosted at the National Historical Museum in Athens, the 9-day competition will see teams battle head-to-head for the transcription and annotation of selected Greek documents.

The Transcribathon Athens will take place from Wednesday 9th May to Friday 18th May 2018. It will be a marathon of epic proportions - a mammoth 9 days of transcription and annotation!

During the event, participants will team up in small groups to compete for the title of champion transcribers, annotators and presenters. They will have the full nine days of the competition to work on our rich selection of Greek documents, ending with the grand finale and awards ceremony on Friday 18th May 2018.

The competition is hosted by the National Historical Museum of Greece, in cooperation with Europeana, Facts & Files and PostScriptum S.A., as a contribution to the ICOM International Museum Day 2018.
