Charles Verity at Beverley Training Camp
He wears the uniform and cap badge for the East Yorkshire Regiment, where his number was his no. was 13/267, has puttees on, leather ammunition webbing and carries a bayonet holder from his belt. I believe the rifle is an early issue. He later won the Military Medal (shown in list in London Gazette, 19th August 1917) whilst a Lance Corporal in the East Yorkshire Regiment.
