  I was very pleased to see you & Ada, I thank
  

  you all for coming as I could not come to see you.
  

  I know Ada was downhearted when she had to leave
  

  me. I could see you did not like it & I felt the same.
  

  I only hope its my luck to come out alright. Tell Ada
  

  & those at home to cheer up & hope for the best & trust
  

  to God that I may be one of them to come through
  

  alright. I will try to come home as soon as I can
  

  & I will try to see Sarah some weekend. Thank mother
  

  & father for what they sent & I thank Asa & you for
  

  your kindness to me. Remeber me to Will & Lisie & tell
  

  them I am going on alright so far & look after Ada
