I hear, but have not yet found
the truth of it, that some of
his company have some of his
little personal effects ready
to send home, but please do not
place any faith in this statement
yet. I hope to see the Officer in
Command in a couple of days,
& will inquire then.
You have my deepest &
heartfelt sympathy in your
terrible bereavement, we are
all paying a price nowadays
& some unfortunately more
than others.
