Three of my men, all Stretcher Bearers
incidentally, have been awarded the Military
Medal. These are another dozen or so
coming to the Battalion. We have now
lost count almost of our DCM's and
Military Medals!
Kennedy, the C.O. of the 21st has the
D.S.O. I don't suppose many Brigades
have clocked up more honours than ours!
Well Cherie, theres no news to give
you. all the news is in the papers. The
Russian business sounds awfully good!

By the way, it is now forbidden to
officers and men to insert or have inserted
in the paper any requests for letters
or presents for the troops so you will
have to abstain from inserting any
advertisements as you did last winter.

It appears that German agents employed this method of getting into touch with
people to find out information which was of use to them and the whole thing has
had to be stopped.
