  For the first big battle for Ypres come out

  of that safley Then went in the second

  big battle for Ypres I was made a blocker

  in this, I got  wounded badly with a shell

  in the right thigh and smash my rifle and

  shovel to bits then i lay over 30 hrs before

  they could get to me Wounded on the 9th of May

  19/15 landed in Birmingham Hospital May

  13th Operation May 14th 19/15 Still suffering
