of they who sleep across

l long again to see the Seine
roll on through gay Parie. I
can picture there one evening
fair I strolled with you
Marie. The moon shone on the
river as we passed in friendly
talk. The Efil Eiffel tower had
dimmed her light on our
pleasant evening walk.
But the war clouds came
between us + was parted
you + me. the sweetest girl
in all the world Marie

I see that old thatched
roof again + look on it
with pride + will bless
the foam that guides
me home to where they
lived + Died. To
that old churchyard in
Fedamore my wearied feet
would stray + beside
their graves I sadly kneel
+ kiss that sacred clay
Oh Irish clay they
loved so well. twas
God + you alone. that
brightened every hour
they spent in that
quaint old humble
home. + when lifes work
was over + had said
their last good bye
they left in peace with
Ireland. To meet their God on
