last sleep. May that

streem for ever moistne  moisten

every flower upon their

god shall take them to

his own eternal rest

Then good bye loved marne

l long again to see the Seine

roll on through gay Parie. I

can picture there one evening

fair I strolled with you

Marie. The moon shone on the

river as we passed in friendly

talk. The Efil  Eiffel  tower had

dimmed her light on our

pleasant evening walk.

But the war clouds came

between us + was parted

you + me. the sweetest girl

in all the world Marie

of old Parie

II

I see that old thatched

roof again + look on it

with pride + will bless

the foam that guides

me home to where they

lived + Died. To

that old churchyard in

Fedamore my wearied feet

would stray + beside

their graves I sadly kneel

+ kiss that sacred clay

Oh Irish clay they

loved so well. twas

God + you alone. that

brightened every hour

they spent in that

quaint old humble

home. + when lifes work

was over + had said

their last good bye

they left in peace with

Ireland. To meet their God on
