My Dear Fred,
I was delighted to get
your letter just now, with a stamp
on, I knew then that you were in
Blighty and am very glad and
so will Dad be. Sorry to say, e
is working this afternoon so he
won't know the good news till
later.
London would have been best, but
Oford is better than France, as we
shall have you home on sich leave.
Bob will be glad I know, we
shall only want him home at the
same time and then we shall be
alright. Better still, if we could have
had poor Will also.
I don't know whether to say I am
glad or sorry that your Chest has
