In the Field | 10.11.17 | Owing to heavy casualties at NO MAN'S LAND STATION, it was decided to put in only one siding, instead

of eight, and that to be only 1000' long. This was ready for traffic on the 15th.

20.11.17 | The following works were in hand, but all practically completed; TROIS ROIS Cours, loop at SHRAPNEL 

CORNER, alteration to No. 5 siding at VLAMERTINGHE Station, maintenance, etc.

On this date the Company left BRANDHOEK, where they had been since May, for BERGUES,

where they took over the maintenance of BERGUES EXCHANGE, and the completion of the DOCK LINE


During the month the following casualties occurred: - 

262nd Cy. R.E.   2 killed, 9 wounded.

Attached labour 4 killed, 15 wounded.

Before leaving the YPRES area, RCE.II addressed the Company and thanked them for the work they had done

while with his Section, stating that their work and courage had been second to none.

13.11.17 | A detachment took over the maintenance of the TRIAGE DES DUNES near DUNKIRK

13.11.17 | II Lt. J.Y. OGILVIE. GRANT arrived for duty with the unit.

24.11.17 | Brigadier General CRUICKSHANK R.E. decorated N.C.O.s of the company who had received Immediate Awards at YPRES
