In the field | 1.6.17 | The company was still in camp near BRANDHOEK, with one platoon at CLAPHAM JUNCTION near

KEMMEL HILL engaged on the maintenance of the CLAPHAM JUNCTION BRULOOZE LINE

  In the YPRES area the company was engaged on the following works: - PACIFIC and

WESTONHOEK Transhipping Stations, PESELHOEK RE PARK (begun on 3rd June), additional

siding at RAILHOEK, maintenance from FLAMERTINGHE to YPRES, Summer Loco Water Supply

from INTERNATIONAL CORNER to BUSSEBOOM, etc.

5.6.17 | A Howitzer Spar in YPRES STATION was begun. This work was completed on the 11th after great difficulty,

and with several casualties.

12.6.17 | The Completion of three branches of the MIDLAND RLY. between FLAMERTINGHE and

ELVERDINGHE was undertaken. This work had been begun by the Company and afterwards handed 

over to the 4th C.R.T.

18.6.17 | Hospital sidings at BRANDHOEK were begun.

28.6.17 | 15 men were withdrawn from CLAPHAM JUNCTION and 75 from BRANDHOEK under Capt. O.T. Wood

and II Lt. F.G. PRICE for work in the PROVEN area.

 

During the month 2 casualties occurred to men of the Company, and 5 to a Labor unit attached 

II Lt. BOXALL was awarded the M.C and Sgt Greening the M.M. for work on the YPRES Gun Spur.
