 Pen or pencil sketch of a left facing profile of a fully bearded man in uniform. The man's hat is shaded to a uniform colour and his jacket appears to have wide lapels and some kind of insignia on the left breast pocket.

 something is handwritten here but is two faint to be read. 

 second similar sketch of another left facing profile this time in a uniform with epaulets, a single breasted jacket and a two tone hat.  This individual does not appear to have a beard but may have a mustache.

These drawings were done by a French officer with whom I was

having French lessons. He was captured at  Mauburge
