Beauty Eternal
Today I saw a butterfly
The first born of the Spring
Sunning itself upon a bank.
A lovely, tawny thing.
A saw a dandelion, too
As golden as the sun;
And these will still be beautiful
When all the wars are done.

"What is love?" 'tis not hereafter;
Present mirth hath present laughter;
What's to come is still unsure,
In delay there lies no plenty,
Then come kiss me, sweet-and-twenty
Youth's a stuff will not endure!
