  Staving pondered and deliberated during the fleeting Conroe of many silent and weavy hours, inceasantly consoling myself with the oft renew assurance that "I'll surely think of something soon," (heighs!-) I have ultimately reached the inevitable conclusion that to insert an inscription in an autograph album is a stupendous undertaking, parallel with the task of remodelling the map of Egypt in order to leave it at one may anticipate it will be in the year of the declaration of peace - A.D. 1971!!! I therefore feel that this gigantic undertaking is far removed from my grossly uncultivated capabilities and, in order to obviate the necessity of unseemly defacing a page in so great a treasure as this ... vitticism and artistic talent, I implore you to release  me from any obligation with regard to "putting something in your album"
