My dear Annie,
Your very welcome letter of
16th Sept. received and glad to know all
are well and that my daughter is so good
I hope she wont bite too severely. I suppose
she will soon be talking and tumbling
about. no there is no one in Cortubber. Pete
Quinn lights a fire in it twice a week to keep
it aired. it must look lonesome now. I
wonder will you and I go to the races of
Lloyd. I hope Rosey is well remember me to
her. Has Andrew taken the pledge yet. A chap
here is knitting me a pair of Socks for Baby.
Ill conclude now with love to all
Yours affectionately
