No doubt there are various
reasons why some did not
come to help. Owing to
having V.T.C. drills to
Volunteer Training Corps was a voluntary home defence militia
attend, working overtime
etc. Yet if we could have
had, a few more regular
workers on the Plot it
would have been a still
greater success. Still we
can congratulate ourselves
on this fact that those
who did work on the land
it brought them in closer
touch with one another
a fact that might have
