The below are in three colums with the headings "Hour, Date, Place.", "Summary of Events and Information.", and "Remarks and references to Appendices."

Summary of Events and Information.
Connected up in enemy's second line and advanced westward.
toward the river (Tigris). At 3pm they got in trench with the
38th Brigade on the left; by this time the whole of the enemy's second
line was in our hands. Enemy made no attempt to counterattack.
A very hot night followed, and all was quiet except for fire of an
enemy trench mortar about 10pm. Capt Bluxham appointed adsj
Casualties: Killed:- 2Lt G. Li. Danes and 18 men
Wounded:- Capt & Adjt W. M. V Bickford-Smith.

Withdrew from captured line. Salvage amounted to 200 rifles, machine gun
mounting etc etc. Returned to Rig in the afternoon arriving during a terrific
storm of hail and rain and found camp under 18 inches of water.
A night of discomfort was spent, but an issue of 2 ounces of rum helped
to put the men in better spirits
