The ash-trays too. it give them pain

To see them filled with odds and ends,

And so they come oft and again

Those trays to empty and to cleanse.

              ___________

But with it all we would not miss,

Those tender fingers, helpful hands;

So ever ready to assist

No matter what are our demands.

            ______________

And so this tribute I would bring

To the nurse of Cornwall Hall.

But , whate'er praises we would sing,

Would ne'er requite them for their thrall.
