The Nurses of Cornwall Hall
______"_______
Twas indeed a surprise to me
To think that here at Cornwall Hall,
The boys should all awakened be
at half past five- to wash- that's all.
_____
Then 'ere you've time to count again
That sleep that so illusive flees,
"Wake up!" "Wake up!" is the refrain
You hear the nurses cry in glee.
_______
And now it is the bed to turn.
So out of it you have to hop.
Then by the time you do return.
The muse has gone ne'er to be stopped.
____________
Now nurses of the morn appear
With vigour and with healthy vim;
Then woe to me if I do tear
Or break the things in careless whim.
_____________
Of course the beds-you must not breathe-
They must be kept immaculate,
And if you should by chance to wreathe
Then Oh! how they expostulate.
