Postcard sized real black and white photograph taken in France of Charles Verity, now wearing Corporal stripes, (2nd from left in the front row) with his 10 fellow soldiers, together with their Officer in the middle back row.
He was aged around 23 years old, in 1918, he was a member of the East Yorkshire Regiment, his Army no. was 13/267, he is now a Corporal.
On his cap is the badge of the East Yorkshire Regiment, he has the insignia of crossed flags on his left sleeve showing he is a Signaller, and double chevrons below them denoting his rank of Corporal.
