Dear Reg, you wold like to know the
history of your Uncle Ted, well when he
left school, which was earlier than what
they do now, he went to work at Sulton's
Seed Firm, which he was doing very well,
but one day he came home, & said to
Mother & Dad, he would like to join
the army, but they did not think to much
of it, so they said well if that's what
you want very well, so he passed & he
said well I will join up in the best
regiment which he did & they were always
stationed in London, I think he must
only have been 18 yrs old as I was only
9 yrs old, I am going by the age of him
when he was killed in action, but any
how he rose up in all his ranks, such
as lance corpal, to corpal, then to
sergaint, so then they wanted him to go
on to be a lieutenant but he did not want
to go that far, so there was a "lieutenant
Tudway" in his regiment & he asked Ted
if he would like to be his vallet, & do
for him which he did this Lieutenant
had a flat in "Saville Row" in
London so Ted was there with him,
