  There is nothing very important at the works we are still slowly

  jogging along + that is about all we are doing There has been

  too long a spell of good trade for a lot of people + I do not

  think there will be improvement in Employees habits untill

  there has been a period of much redined demand for labour

  The Election will also cause a great disturbance to tc tc

  although This will be all over before the end of the Year.one

  cannot at the moment say with what result still there is always

  a disturbance with a change of government

        I hope you are in the best of health + that you will have

  as happy a Christmas as it is possible under the Circumstances

  in which you are placed I expect Herberts next letter will be

  giving you the dali of his weading which is not decided

  upon as yet
