My Dear Son
I have just spent about an hour packing up a few
articles which is much out of my line but which I hope you
receive quite safely. The 3 Books which I send are what I think
you require + Includes Duncans advanced Mechanics
I note from the few remarks which you make that you
are Quite out of the world + to me appear not to be far
from the Swiss Frontier.
I have to complain about the meagre accounts you send
on, surely there is something of interest you can write about,
youself- your work- The Party Routine- Men you have met
The impressions The change has made upon you, etc. I did
think when I received your last letter that you where
going to say something of interest but no the thing
foggled out at a page + a half unsigned + unfinished
Alice s - the same not every the usual will write more
fully later, you have no Idea of the difficulty of
writing to a person who says Nnothing - it is equal
to talking to a dumb man + no more + If you
dont improve very shortly I shall turn this job
over to your Mother as it is getting beyond me;
I have just found out that pencil + Rubber have not being
included in your parcel so I will arrange to send these
on Monday under separate Cover.
We have not very much news at this end to transmit
We started holiday on Friday Morning first thing
Herbert was the first to go. Starting at 8:15 for Liverpool
in the hope of getting to the Ilse of Man which
