  but one never knows The only thing this chap has done wrong about it

  is he has told a few pals now it has got round the barracks + that

  you should not do in The Army The Army Motto is do not tell where

  you sleep to your pal. Well if I am not for the staff I shall be

  overseas in about 2 weeks so  I have been looking round a bit +

  got to know. That you cannot claim a draft leave during the big

  push. So that if you get a telegram from me saying (Send it in)

  you must send an express letter to me asking for me home on

  urgent business + that it is essential that I should be there

  as that is the only way I can get home. if not a draft Leave which is

  doubtful, Dont forget it you get the telegram about Monday write

  straight back what days you want which wants to be so that I can

  come home from Saturday till Wednesday + stating that that will be as I am

  as you will be able to finish the business you have on hand, without which

  I cannot see the commanding officer I think you will know what sort of

  a letter to write + do it better than one me saying what also to put in besides

  the above Best if I get put on the staff or if it looks as if it was going

  to be that way I do not think I shall send the above  message but writes

  or telegram so that if you want to come down you can  + I will get a

  weekend. pass for London from Sat 2 pm untill Sunday Midnight If I 

  lorie I shall say you can come down so do not Mix this with the above

  as there is many slip twixt buf + Life If you do come down  I am now

  out of Billets + in Hut 38 This reminds me I might be in another

  hut so will write whether  I write ise or not the only thing I am doing

  this for is they want 1000 Smiths for overseas + some that went through
